Preparing your music for performance or publication

I trained in the library of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra as a manuscript copyist, writing out parts by hand. I have been a Finale-based engraver since 1989, and have worked primarily in Dorico for the past two years. I work quickly, with scrupulous attention to detail and accuracy. I accept projects of any size, including transcribing scores from recording or MIDI. I can also polish scores already completed, through copy editing, proofreading, or generating parts.

With the sunsetting of Finale this month, I am now offering beginner training in Dorico, as well as conversion services for Finale files into Dorico. Contact me to discuss details.

 

Manuscript Services Rates

Manuscript preparation:
1–4 staves (per page): $12/pg.
5–8 staves: $23/pg.
9–12 staves: $32/pg.
Each additional staff: $2/pg.
Parts: $7/pg.
Choral or piano/vocal score: $32/pg.

Transcribing, proofreading and/or cleanup of existing score: $50/hr.
