The Texts for the Introits for the Sundays in Lent
I. Invocabit me. Ps. 91
V. He shall call on me and I will hearken unto him: I will deliver him and bring him to honour: with length of days will I satisfy him.
R. Whoso dwelleth under the defence of the most High: shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
Repeat V.
II. Reminiscere. Ps. 25.
V. Call to remembrance, O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy loving-kindnesses, which have been ever of old: O let not our enemies triumph over us: deliver us, O God of Israel, out of all our troubles.
R. Unto thee, O Lord, will I lift up my soul: O my God, I have put my trust in thee, O let me not be confounded.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.

III. Oculi mei. Ps. 25,
V. Mine eyes are ever looking unto the Lord, for he shall pluck my feet out of the net: turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me: for I am desolate and in misery.
R. Unto thee, Lord, will I lift up my soul: my God, in thee have I put my trust, let me not be confounded.

V. Give sentence with me, O God, and defend my cause against the ungodly people: O deliver my soul from the deceitful and wicked man: for thou art the God of my strength.

VI. Domine, ne longe. Ps. 22.
V. BE not thou far from me, O Lord, thou art my succour, haste thee to help me: save me from the lion’s mouth, thou hast heard me also from among the horns of the unicorns.
R. My God, my God, look upon me: why hast thou forsaken me: and art so far from my health, and from the words of my complaint?
